When The Bucket Is Empty
The Only Thing Left Is For It To Be Filled
My therapist said to me, “Leanna, your bucket has been so empty the last couple years it only makes sense that it’s going to be filled.”
The last two years I lost my dad, my job, my brother and my kid was autistic through it all.
I was depleted. Stripped of. Exhausted of all resources.
Don’t get me wrong. The losses and the delays have come with lessons and growth. I am so grateful for it all.
But when is it time for my bucket to be filled?
When does all my hard work pay off?
I’ve been applying. Writing. Resting. Emerging.
And I’m still met with delays. Obstacles. Slowness.
I told the universe last year. Sorry, SCREAMED to her, “I WANT A SLOW LIFE”.
Oooh she delivered. I realize I needed to be a little more specific and better at communicating.
I want a slow but consistent life. A life of abundance and opportunity.
She’s shown me pockets of bliss.
But I’m ready for more.
Universe, honey,
Show me twice the abundance.
Open the goddamn door, and show me more.
Please.
And so it is.

Keep hanging in there, I know your bucket will be overflowing!! Slow and steady. I too am craving slowness, and recognizing how challenging that can be for our go-getter brains at times! 🩷🌸
